Real-Time GPS Location Data: STRIDE collects precise location data to enable fitness tracking for running, walking, cycling, and hiking (measuring distance, pace, and speed). This background tracking persists when the app is minimized so your activities are recorded continuously.
Health and Fitness Metrics: We process physical activity data, including daily step counts, calorie estimations, and heart rate trends to generate performance insights.
Camera and Device Storage: With your explicit permission, the app accesses your device's camera and local drive to allow you to snap photos and apply workout stat overlays using the "Share Moment" feature.
We process your data strictly to deliver and improve the STRIDE ecosystem, specifically to:
Provide real-time GPS activity tracking, step counting, and fitness analytics.
Generate digital Identity Cards and facilitate QR code check-ins at events.
Power the AI-driven Pro-Scout insights and coach fatigue-detection systems.
Process marketplace payments securely via our integrated Paystack split-payment architecture.
STRIDE is a multi-sport platform that serves grassroots communities, which may include young athletes under the age of 13. We take the protection of children's privacy extremely seriously:
Parental Consent: Where a user is identified as under 13, account creation must be facilitated or approved by a parent, legal guardian, or an authorized school/club administrator.
Data Restriction: We do not publicly display granular location data or exact route maps of children.
No Behavioral Marketing: We do not use data from users under 13 for targeted advertising or behavioral profiling.
We do not sell your personal data. We only share information with third parties necessary to operate the platform:
Payment Processing: All financial transactions are securely routed through Paystack, our South African-focused payment gateway.
Anonymized Lead Generation: When tracking public events via our Discovery feature, the platform may notify event organizers of aggregate user interest (e.g., "10 users are interested"). Individual personal profiles and identity metrics are strictly hidden and kept anonymous during this process.
Role-Based Compliance: Access to your data within the app is locked down tightly by role-based access controls. Club or Federation Admins can only view data necessary for competition compliance and roster management.
POPIA Compliance: All data is securely processed in strict accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) of South Africa.
The Right to Erasure (Deletion Workflow): Users have full control over their data. You can request account and data deletion directly within the app. Requests enter a secure administrative review queue for permanent erasure from our database.
